Originally from Macon, MS, Dr. Flora has been working in college access and success since 2009. He strives to leave “no stone unturned” in helping young people be successful. When Dr. Flora is not at work, you can find him with his family, playing pickleball, listening to podcasts, or tinkering with his Spotify playlists. He holds degrees from the University of Mississippi, Vanderbilt, and Harvard.

Ms. Yasmin is a native of Bay Springs, MS. She received her Master of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Mississippi in 2022 and her Bachelor of Science in Social Science from Jackson State University in 2020. As a first-generation college student, she enjoys helping college students reach their full potential by proving them with the resources and skills to be successful beyond college. In her free time, Yasmin enjoys listening to music, singing karaoke, and playing with her puppy Kofi.

Ashley is a first-year Master’s student in Athletic Training at the University of Mississippi. Originally from Raymond, Mississippi, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Ole Miss in May 2024. Ashley joined Grove Scholars as a Graduate Assistant in August 2024, where she plays a key role in supporting freshmen as they navigate college life. Passionate about making a difference, she values the opportunity to mentor students, celebrate their successes, and help them overcome challenges. Her experience with Grove Scholars continues to shape her skills as she pursues her goal of becoming a certified athletic trainer dedicated to positively impacting the lives of athletes.

Brianna Williams, from Olive Branch, Mississippi, began her college journey at Itawamba Community College, where she played volleyball, before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ole Miss in May 2023. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work at Ole Miss, with plans to graduate in May 2025. Passionate about becoming a therapist, Brianna has gained valuable experience working with diverse age groups in various settings. She was drawn to Grove Scholars to help freshmen navigate college life and thrive in their new environment. She enjoys mentoring students and looks forward to seeing their future accomplishments.
